Healthy DIY Hand Sanitizer

Healthy DIY Hand Sanitizer

With chaos knocking on our doors, many stores across the country are out of hand sanitizers and hand soap. This is the perfect time to learn how to make your own DIY hand sanitizer, using some of the antibacterial essential oils

Not to mention, the chemicals in most hand sanitizers are full of toxic chemicals that do NOT help your body…
ntibacterial commercial products can kill ALL bacteria including GOOD bacteria needed for healthy skin and a properly functioning immune system.  In fact, studies have shown them to weaken your immune system!

Here are a few solutions to create a healthy hand sanitizer which I recommend.  Add 2 drops of 1st AID "TNT" to a small amount of coconut oil (or Body Butter Geranium Heaven Scent) and apply it on your hands.

The main active ingredient of our 1st AID "TNT" is bee propolis -nature's antiseptic marvel!  Propolis is a resin produced by honeybees that they use to coat the inner lining of the hive to protect it from bacterial invasion and keep it germ-free.

Propolis contains flavonoids, polyphenols, terpenes, and other compounds from plants that have super-potent antiseptic properties which fight inflammation and viruses contributing to healthy skin. Along with bee propolis, the formula of 1st AID "TNT" includes an immune-boosting blend of essential oils, which have been proven to kill viruses: clove bud, tea tree, and frankincense oils.

You can also make your own DIY hand sanitizer. It is simple, but it will also save you lots of money and can be more important than you think!

Make a few bottles of this spray hand   sanitizer   to carry in your purse, store in your vehicle,   and  toss in the baby’s diaper bag.   You can   easily sanitize and kill germs on the go.  Plus, it   smells lovely.

 - 10 drops of essential oils

(cinnamon bark, clove bud, eucalyptus, lemon, orange & rosemary essential oils).

190 proof grain alcohol (or the highest proof alcohol you can get)*

- 1 oz PET plastic flip-top bottle

  1. Pick and choose the essential oils to meet your desired result.
  2. Drop essential oils into the bottle.
  3. Then add alcohol to fill the bottle.
  4. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Spray on hands and enjoy!

* At least 60% alcohol is necessary to sanitize the hands, but this concentration is not adequate for solubilizing essential oils.)

With this DIY sanitizer, I would still recommend moisturizing creams or hand balms: Geranium Heaven Scent Body Butter, soothing Balms "Orange Zest", "Lavender Wonder" or Geranium-Propolis Cream.
