Do you love fine art as much as I do? If so, you'll really enjoy the upcoming art exhibition in April! As a proud sponsor of the talented artist Svitlana Osetska, I am excited to invite you to this extraordinary event.
Since we were children, Svitlana has been my friend for many decades.
She was born and raised in Dnipro, Ukraine, and has been passionate about painting for most of her life. She studied the arts extensively and read books on various painting styles and artists. While pursuing her Master's degree in physics, building her career, and raising two children, she continued to paint.
Fifteen years ago, her journey led her to work in graphic arts, focusing on the "Petrykivka" style. Petrykivka painting is a traditional Ukrainian arts and crafts technique that originated in the village of Petrykivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Art Gallery in the Odessa Creativity Center has displayed her paintings for over ten years.
Due to the war in Ukraine, Svitlana moved to the United States. The natural beauty and lifestyle of Vermont and Oklahoma have greatly inspired her painting. The breathtaking sunsets, unique patterns of trees, and beautiful skies motivate her to capture these scenes on canvas. Creating art and living in the U.S. has helped heal her heart in the aftermath of the war in Ukraine. Through her artwork, she aims to reflect the essence of the people from her homeland: bright, resilient, and peace-loving.
Svitlana invites everyone who appreciates beautiful nature, realism, graphics, and abstract art to explore her work. She creates stunning pieces using watercolor, gouache, and acrylic. Her fine art would make a fantastic addition to your home's interior!
You can view some of her work on Instagram at @SvitlanasArtStudio and on this link. Svitlana will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales to a Ukrainian orphanage ministry in Kryvyi Rih called True Hope Ukraine (https://truehopeukraine.com). As you may know, Vika's Essentials has been supporting this orphanage for many years.
